The first part of the blog is about the experience in the retreat with photos, videos etc. This blog is about the insights from the retreat.
Part 2: this part has the learnings from the retreat, and some other insights, all compiled at one place.
Color Coding:
Blue color indicates what I heard and observed in the sessions. This is near accurate.
Black color indicates what I learned, reflected and understood based on my limited understanding. You are free to take it, leave it, or partly take it! Whatever!
Some topics have come up more than once. I have tried to combine them, but not always successful in doing so. Please bear with me.
This blog is being compiled at the prayagraj airport, as my flight is delayed by 2 hours. I am so thankful to get a chance to compile the blog! Events happen for a reason!
Ganga:
Ganga is nothing but vishnu in liquid form. It is water with which vishnus feet were washed. It helps to transcend the body and connect to the divine form.
Triveni sangam:
the flow of prana is in out and hold. Deep inside is dip in the kumbha with prana flowing by which the body energy is emptied and cleaned and filled with purity. Every breath is a dip in the sangam. The ganga is within oneself. Have this bhava (feeling)
6 states to maintain within, not outside are as follows.
Tounge rolled up. (not while talking or eating)
Breath awareness. (not while talking)
Focus on fontanelle. (not while doing any activity)
Shambhavi mudra. (not while doing any activity or sleeping)
Eyebrows raised. (at all times other than sleeping)
Listen to Anahata naada. (at all times, even in sleep!)
Usually breath awareness is missing. Be aware of the breath is the insight. This is also told in pyramid meditation by patriji. Kriya yoga has breath awareness and much more!
Real sangama is in chakras.
In the third eye. Concentrate, love God.
Vishuddha feel the breath. Inhale is dipping and exhalation is coming out. The exhale is slightly warmer than inhale.
Anahata. Feel the ocean of love and connection.
Manipura. Remove the link to outside world.
Swadishthana. Leave the lust.
Mooladhara. Sangam. Knot of nadis. this is where the energy resides and has to move up
All masters are within us in kumbha:
Let's see how all realised masters are with each one of us, in this kumbha:
In all chakras, there is gurus divine presence. Hence all the masters are in the kumbha within us! When we take a dip, all the masters in the subtle form also take a dip with us. When we breathe, masters are breathing with us, as prana circulates.
Granthis:
Interaction of nadis creates granthis or knots. The three are
Brahma.
Vishnu
Rudra.
The knots have to open for you to progress ahead.
Here is a link to know more about the granthis and how to open them with 3 bandhas.
As everything in kriya is within us, there is nothing outside, Yoga is joining, so is sangama. Kriya yoga is kriya sangama. The merger of
Ida pingala sushumna.
Vata Pitta Kapha
Brahma Vishnu mahesh
Ganga yamuna saraswati
Gross, astral and causal body.
Sat chit anantam.
Purak Kumbhak Rechak.
Upward, downward and stillness.
Start stop and ending
When they merge, true sangam takes place. A state of nothing at all. This is the state is mukti, liberation, adwaita.
Mother Ganga freed 60,000 ancestors of bhagirath, as it descended on earth. In inner context, it is annihilation of thoughts by purification. It is not a coincidence that we get 60,000 thoughts a day. The goal of kriya yoga is to annihilate the thoughts which come automatically and take us into a thinking mode, into past and present! This inner purification by kriya yoga, makes it possible.
Sagar is the chiita vritti sanskaras. Which have come through countless births.
Bhagirath is the sadhaka doing kriya yoga.
Kriya yoga process is taking dip in sangam of Ganga Yamuna saraswati
As purification happens, the state of union is reached.
This is the true significance of sangama.
Sat chit Anantam or anandam?:
it is technically anantam. meaning infinite. Anandam came from bhakti movement.
as universal consiusness is devoid of feeling, it is not anandam. anandam means, it can be also without bliss which it is not. this is given in one of the old Vedanta texts.
anything that is emotional can not be consciousness. it is etneral in energy and truth. hence anantam. this is not mentioned in the modern texts as people relate to emotions. when in samadhi state, nothing is felt. not even bliss....
4 margas:
As guruji was explaining this, a thought came up:
Bhakti marga. God is mine. I am beloved of God. (Dwaita)
Gyana marg. There is no difference between me and God. Aham brahmasmi. (Adwaita)
Yoga marg: I want to merge with God.
Karma marga: whatever I do, i do for god.
Swara yoga: pravana vijaya swaravaya.. Shiva vijaya swaravaya. It is not open knowledge. Books are printed and knowledge is often amused. Right side is yamuna. Left is ganga cooler. Saraswati is balanced breath. The significance of swara yoga is explained here. It works properly. Study it.
Intimacy with spouse or partner yet be spiritual. Best example is Lahiri mahashaya who had 5 children! 2 boys and 3 girls. Intimacy is for procreation. In those times, sleeping separately on others days was common.
World as an illusion:
So long as you have hunger, universe is real. Awake in the cosmic dream, yogananda said. Dream means it is changing. Hence it is said, it is not real. Get the correct meaning. Sat means non changing. Body is satya. It is existing as presence of God. Everything is presence of God. Even poison and nectar are god.
Irrespective of the time, dipping in ganga is purification itself. Ganga river may be polluted. But ganga energy is purifying.
Invoke the rivers and take bath. The energy of ganga is there in any place in the world. Gange che, yamune che. That shloka.
When you take ganga bath, one is free from sins. This has to be believed and experienced and has to become reality. Not just mechanically taking bath is of no use.
Best time to take bath in ganga is described in the shastra.
Jyoti mudra:
The Jyoti appears as a Blue light with hole. While going up from bow, you can see the light too, other time, being in Jyotimudra.
Keeping eyes closed in kriya:
Keep Eyes closed in kriya. Only open in shambhavi mudra. Not any other time.
Questions and Answers:
There are some question answers given below. In two sessions in the retreat. The questions were asked by disciples and guruji gave answers to each out them.
Q: How to avoid lustful thoughts:
A: Lustful thought is like mahishasura wanting mother Durga! To avoid lustful thoughts. Keep mind busy. Have satvik food. Don't stay alone. Pray to mother Durga.
Q: What is the meaning of mauni amavasya?
A: Mauni means silent. Here one has to start silent and go inwards on the new moon day.
A: How to avoid fear?
B: To avoid fear, make friends with the most fearless person.
A:When will I attain brahaman?
B: Know that everything is Brahman and meditate. That's all.
Q: How to cultivate strength. How to standup without invoking ego.
A: I am child of God. I will not allow myself to be misused and abused in any way. I will also not abuse anyone. I will do what others to do to me. Lord Hanuman ji will take care of this.
Q: is longer meditation better than shorter meditation.
A: don't bother about the duration. Meditation is being thoughtless. Increase quality of meditation first. Duration will follow.
Q: is the desire to purify the mind, a trick of the mind?
A: you know your mind. That is the answer!
Q: does time need to be spent with guru for enlightenment?
A: even one word is enough. Don't be emotionally and psychologically obsessed with guru. Guru lives in teachings. Teachings lives in disciples. Guru hence manifests in disciples. Hence the kriya yoga process of invoking gurus in the chakras.
Q: how does ganga and kumbha help us purify ourselves?
A: By taking a dip!
Q: what is the role of rudraksha mala.
A: purify the mind. These are tools for purification.
Q: in which paksha, krishna or shulka paksha, we get maximum light?
A: in both paskahas moon gives the same light. Other than full moon and new moon. Shukla Paksha chaturdashi moon rise is easier and disappears earlier as compared to pratipada in Krishna Paksha. Mind and moon are similar. Either mind should be illuminated like a full moon. Or new moon is no mind. New moon is like deep meditation. Full moon is with open eyes.
Q: what is short breath.
A: when slow feeble breathing is done, warmer breath will not come out. Do practise of mahamudra and pranayama.
Q: why can't one listen to anahata naada.
A. Watch the breath, pray intensely, make your mind silent, it will come.
Q: what is kundalini crisis?
A: it's created by internet and books and Baba's.
Q: is astral plane dangerous?
A: don't bother about planes.
Q: how is god omnipresent
A: like moisture in air. Present but unseen. Be aware of it
Q: what is satvik food.
A: food for the body boiled and no oil and salt. Food for sense organs. Food for the mind. Satvik food is the one which is offered to God with love, it is sattvik food.
Q: is astral travel possible through meditation.
A: astral travel is a minds creation. Ignore it. Meditate and go in samadhi.
Q: how does the state is being "not mine" help to get into a state of liberation.
A: nothing is mine. In adwaita, nothing is mine. To have mine, you need two. With adwaita, there is only one. Hence nothing is mine and everything is mine!
Q: i dont see light in Jyoti mudra.
A: just ensure your pracitse is in line with the help of a teacher.
The light within. Am interesting phenomenon:
Today an interesting video showed up on sonoluminescence - where sound waves cause underwater bubbles to implode, releasing a burst of light, with the exact mechanism behind it still not fully understood by scientists, making it a fascinating mystery of the deep ocean.
Key points about sonoluminescence:
How it works:
When intense sound waves are directed at a liquid containing tiny air bubbles, the pressure changes cause the bubbles to rapidly expand and then violently collapse, generating extreme heat and light in the process.
The mystery:
While we can observe sonoluminescence, the exact physics behind the light emission remain unclear, with theories including the possibility of plasma formation within the collapsing bubble.
In the context of kriya yoga, is this the microscopic bubble of air vibrating in the fontanelle region as we put our attention there, impacted by anahata naada sound, to create the light in Jyoti mudra? Time will tell!
Washing sins in mother ganga:
The washing of sins is not a license to commit more sins. It is a reduction or elimination of papa vritti. Chitta vritti nirodaha of yoga is achieved by taking a dip in the sangam. As the subtle memories and the vrittis that create tamasik thoughts are reduced. This is insight of kumbha. The kumbha snan is one of the most powerful methods for this mind purification of chitta vrittis. I could feel it after the bath. The key is to maintain the same state throughout.
Kumbha pot:
A raw clay pot dissolves in the water, but a baked clay pot does not dissolve. tapas or heat of sadhana is the kriya we do daily to make the clay pot of the body ready to face the samsara. Without sadhana, the pot will get destroyed in the turbulent waters of samsara.
Collecting the water of kumbh:
Let's see another interesting example. To collect nectar of kumbh, the pot (like the body) has to be mouth up, be empty and should have no leakage. Only then it will collect rain water. So kriya orients the prana right, bakes it with the process, ensures there are no energy leakages in the system. For some it can happen in an instance or it can take longer. It's all a function of burning desire. Consistency of action, constant reflection, maintaining 6 states, being in observation are the key.
Tantra
Gurudev once attended a conference on yoga and tantra. There are Five m sadhana By tantriks. When asked, they did not confirm that they did a particular type of tantra sadhana. It must have been awkward for them to admit it in an open forum.. When no one answered, Gurudev asked, what type of sadhana do you do? This means, whatever path you follow, follow it properly and own it up. There is nothing to be ashamed of, as it's a path you have chosen yourself.
Kumbh
K water.
Ku is earth. Not negation in this context.
Um udar or abdomen
Let's see another example. Our ultimate aim is to merge with universal consciousness.. as the creation happened, from space to earth. Dissolution is reverse. This is the path of consciousness evolving upwards. Kriya makes the earthen pot of the body soft with water. which will dissolve in water ultimately.
What is satvik:
I recalled what Swami satswarupananda told me. If you free fresh, it is satvik. If you feel neutral, it is rajasik. If you feel dull, it is tamasik. (Hence avoid substance abuse). The goal is to always stay in satvik state. During any activity or after any activity, one has to be feeling energetic. A good indicator of this is how do you feel when you wake up? Do you feel energetic, neutral or dull?
Reduced sleep:
Swami satswarupananda also told me that with kriya, his sleep duration has gone down to less than 3 hours! This must be due to a mind that is completely at rest. (My own sleep has reduced by a couple of hours in just a few months.)
When to be silent:
Silence is for speaking negative. Proper expression of truth is spiritualty. Dumbness is not spirituality. Being tactful in speaking is being wise.
Maintaining the state of snan:
If you keep the state after snan for the rest of the life, then the kumbh mela snan is successful. This is a key insight. This is like nlp Programming. Just recall the kumbh mela state and smile. You will be in kumbh state again.
Guruji told an interesting doha:
Some more questions and answers:
Q:How are sins washed away in the sangam?
A:While in the sangam, you are free of the vrittis. But they come back, when you are out. So be in the same state as the sangam, when you come out and live your life. This is the key.
Q:What happens when a person is realised.
A: ramkrishna has explained it beautifully. Realisation is like a boiled potato, becoming soft from inside. It can not be seen as any different. So realized people look the same. This is very profound! This process of boiling takes time. This is sadhana. So discipline and patience is the key.
Q: What about conquering heat and cold by yoga.
A: Sadhana is to be hidden. Never show it. It has to remain gupt.
Q: how to take bath in ganga.
A: bow to river Ganga. Consider that mother has taken you in her lap. Touch ganga water and touch to your lips, eyes, ears. Then take dip for ancestors, friends, relatives, family etc. Again bow after taking bath. Avoid using towel to dry the body. It will dry on its own.
Q: how to keep thoughts at bay, while in meditation.
A: in the mediation, keep the door of the mind and heart open only for the divine. Not for all. Simply watch the breath. No other thought will come in. The 6 states ensure a thoughtless state.
Q: why is kriya different in different schools
A: don't do window shopping. Why are you so curious to know what others are doing. This kriya is enough for self realisation.
Q: is the desire to purify the mind, also a trick of the mind?
A: what is dirty has to be cleaned. If hands are dirty, they have to cleaned.. What it the trick here?
Q: what is the symbolism in the vamana story?
A: foot on head means no ego. This is what vamana did to mahabali.
He asked for a boon to have vishnu as his gate keeper. Here Guarding the door means no unwanted things can come in.
All stories have an insight or metaphorical meaning. Focus on the message. Not in the story to learn!
Q: why do I get tears during meditation?
A: devotion creates tears. Meditation creates a peaceful, tearless state. It may be happening that you are more into devotion, rather than meditation!
Q: what to do, when desire for material success is stopping me from Spiritual progress.
A: don't stop meditating. Keep it on. Unless the desire goes away, progress is difficult. Desires come from attachments. Attachments come from roles. The key is to realise, its my role. I am not the role!
Q: how to burn the past
A: by living in the present!
Q: who is realised?
A: everyone is realised. They all know that they are not realized! Realized means to know. We are talking about self realisation. Not realisation of a skill of say, driving! Guruji is self realized but not realized in driving. This is a simple and profound insight.
Q: where should one be content?
A: other than doing sadhana, be contented with everything else. In sadhana, never be content till you achieve your goal.
Q: what is a shahi snan.
A: it is not shahi snan. It is amrut snan. Shahi is a mugal word. Avoid using it. Stick to sanatana terms.
Q: can substances be used for spritual journey.
A: no.
Q: how to remain healthy
A: low carb food. Less milk products. No sweets. Regular exercise. Satvik food to be taken. You will have good health.
Q: how to practise effectively?
A: in the kutashtha. Means the mixing bowl of the goldsmith. By not being affected by change. Keep the focus on soul centre.
Q: what is the third eye?
A: it is not a physical eye. It is the eye of devotion, understanding, intuition. Everyone's third eye is open to some extent. It will open on its own by following kriya yoga.
Q: can I take a dip in any river, anywhere in the world?
A: real dip is inhale and exhale in meditation. All external objects are tools to go inward.
Q: Are Shiva and shakara different?
A: They are form less and with form of the same tattva. In nirvanashatakam, it is nirguna Shiva, in Shiva manas puja, it is saguna Shiva. Understand the context.
Q: how to keep balanced interactions with opposite gender.
A: pray, meditate, love God. Anyone, irrespective of age, gender, status and location is a kumbha of body covered by skin like a pot is. See everyone as the same consciousness!
Q. Should I consider my ishtadevta as indicated by my horoscope or what my heart is attracted to?
A: it does not matter, as actually, they are the same! Only forms are different. You can choose either.
Q: how to avoid temptations of the mind?
A: love God, pray and meditate.
Q: what is the symmetrical symbol of om?
A: I don't know. Don't over analyze. Just focus on the steps given for kriya
Q: how soon can I take the second kriya.
A: first kriya itself is very powerful and can lead to self realisation when done properly. Don't make any schedule for Spiritual progress. It will happen by guru kripa and your effort. Engineering and project management does not work here.
Hand positions:
As i met yogesh, my shakhnaad guru, we discussed kriya yoga. He pointed out that the Hand positions are fist shaped under the navel, Like how Lahiri mahasaya has in his picture. Which are to be done in the kriya breathing.

In paravastha, use the hands like mahavtra babajis picture palms resting on each other.
While in bowing, keep hands on the knees, to open up the chest area.
Keeping eyes closed:
During the entire process of kriya, keep the eyes closed. Do not open them at all. This is a key learning.
How does Kriya yoga reduce addictions:
This insight came him my dear friend Sanjeev, who practises a different school of yoga. The state induced by kriya yoga is calmer than what is induced by any substance like alcohol, nicotine, psychedelic substances (drugs). It is easier to do with the 6 steps to reach the thoughtless state. You don't need any external substance for this at all.
I believe that once everyone becomes a kriya yogi, the addiction business will vanish for ever, as there will be no customer left! The mind is slowly getting attracted to being in a blissful constant state, rather than temporary pleasures.
Let's take an example:
Normal distrubance at the mind is at 100. With substances, it reduces temporarily to say 40. With kriya yoga, it is 0. Why would one, being in the kriya yoga state, take a substance to create disturbance? It's simply not logical.
Breathing from higher chakras:
As the focus is on fontanelle region, there is no chance of material desires that originate from lower chakras. This is the key.
The breathing in is from the ajna chakra and breathing out of from saharsrar chakra and then in reverse order.
This keeps the focus on the higher two chakras and it is very easy to observe the breath now, as the attachment to lower chakras is gone. As Anil baba said, keep the focus on higher two chakras at all times. To be in higher state of awareness. Don't let it come down to lower 5, as they represent the 5 elements and you will be in the material world again.
Focus on anahata, leads one to a state of control of breath. Not observing it. Focus on higher two, leads to observation of breath.
Kriya yoga in the open space or a garden.
Sitting on a bench with your feet on the grass, looking at the sun with eyes closed, doing kriya pranayama is a difference experience. With eye brows raised, the light inside is bright white, the same inner light!
Maintaining the rhythm.
While breathing in and out and both holds, chant the ishta mantra. It will ensure proper box breathing with duration. The ishta deva mantra works as the timer as it's speed of chanting is constant!
Stops at chakras.
While taking breath in and out, stop at chakras. They are the stations, on the way to the next one.
No need of kriya pranayama:
As the purification happens, at a certain stage, there may be no need of kriya pranayama. You can directly go to Jyotimudra. As the evolution has already happened. You can not make pure white, whiter! I am far from this stage!
Awareness of breath as an observer:
I asked Histas baba a few days back: One of the key steps of kriya yoga is to be aware of the breath. When I am aware of and observe my breath, I start controlling my breath! Instead of being the observer, I become to doer. How do I just remain as an observer?
Histas baba replied:
With practise.
I understood that he is asking to keenly observe what is going on and do kriya with love for God and gurus, instead of doing it mechanically. This is told repeatedly in the guided audio. "Love God".
Today, as i practised, i realized, As gurudev said, "I am with you in every breath". (Told in one of the satsangs in retreat) So it is gurudev breathing, Not me. Now so easy to observe!
The focus on fontanelle is a great way to be aware of breath! As soon as the focus comes below ajna chakra, 5 elements get activated and doing takes over, instead of observing.
Many times, one only needs a little guidance from yogacharyas and gurus to overcome little doubts in the tiny mind, that keep coming! One only has to ask!
The World in an illusion:
A conversation with Swami Advaitanandaji, head, chinmaya mission, nasik. 29th Dec 24.
Histas baba in the recent kriya yoga retreat, mentioned that the world we see is not real. It's an illusion. Pondering on this, i had a doubt, which i asked swamiji.
Question: As "aham bharhmasmi" the mahavakya is satya (the ultimate truth), then where is the universe created in my dreams? I don't see it anywhere. It should be there, created every night! (Extending this logic, as everyone dreams at night, there has to be a multiverse created, billions of them in dreams of all living beings! This may be the key to manifestation as well!)
Answer by Swamiji. "Aham" here means consciousness. Not the self (deven) in this material domain. (In reality, there is no creation at all! It's all an illusion. Your memory, that you had a dream is also an illusion! This is the dream within a dream. In fact the 3 states of waking, dreaming and deep sleep is a dream of the creator (in the form of Vishnu sleeping and dreaming and Brahma, the creation originating from the navel, the manipura chakras as the creation, which is the vital clue for manifestation!) which itself is a dream of the consciousness. Maybe this is what the fifth dimension is? 3 dimensions of self states (waking, dreaming and deep sleep) and two more of dreams within dreams!
Learning: the illusionary universe created in the dream disappears as you go in the deep sleep, which is very close to being in the state of ultimate consciousness. Hence nothing remains. Not even the mind, hence the creation in the dream vanishes instantly. The next night, the cycles continue. And what if what we perceive as waking state, is actually a dream? Now, we are going in the movie, inception! Which is about a dream in a dream in a dream! I bet it was inspired by adwaita vedanta!
Sincere gratitude to swamiji for this profound insight. It's going to take some time to fully understand it, and a long time to experience it!
What is a small breath in kriya:
Small breath will start automatically as kriya practise goes ahead. Breathing effort will not be felt at all. The breath is gentle and feeble. This means the throw of the breath is very low. No intensity in the breath. So a small piece of cloth will not sway. Usually normal breath is felt 10 fingers or more from the nostrils. This small breath is so silent that it will not be felt even 2 fingers from the nostrils.
Deep kriya:
long kriya. More than 1 hour. A different experience:
For the first time, i did kriya yoga with 7 bows and 12 kriya pranayama done... Went into amazing state of paravastha!
Usually we rush through the ten kriya steps, not realising that an investment in time of doing kriya steps, is the most important investment in the morning.
This took me 1 hour 20 mins to complete all steps. But every moment I invested in, was worth it.
Specially, the paravastha was next level. Near thoughtless state.
The stable mind was evident while making introduction in the meeting with 75 people. This is usually stressful. This time, it was surprisingly peaceful.
Breathing:
Question: In Kriya pranayama, do we do normal abdominal breathing or we do deep breathing in the upper chest?
Answer: Histas baba: Think you are rotating your Prana combined with slow long breath
Understanding: the breathing has be full. You are actually moving your pranic energy, not just the breath. This is the key focus. Breathing is the physical aspect. Slow breathing allows for slow and steady movement of pranic energy. If breath is not of long duration, then prana moves too fast, which is not a good idea. hence in the guided audio, also the breathing is slow with lot of gaps for bahya kumbhak and antar kumbhak. And there are instructions for "conscious breathing".
Calmness in a club:
I always like to experiment and stretch the limits both ways, lower end higher and check if the process or state holds true or not.
My role of the head of business, involves networking and socializing with my clients, some who have become good friends!
I was in a club with loud music recently. I had the same state of the k.r.i.y.a. and it was amazing how detached i was, still involved in the music and dance around me. Occasionally participating in the dance and music, without altering the state. In fact, this piece of the blog was written in the club!
As the external world, with all its noise, like the club is an illusion, the presence in the club of mine is also an illusion.
So easy to retain the state. In fact kriya yoga makes the state so strong that external factors like food, drink and music has minimum impact on it.
An instance of a order lost, a relationship that does not work out, eating onion or garlic, having an intoxicating substance does not distrub the state now.
Don't tell kriya, how big is the (virtual) storm in life is. Tell the storm, how powerful kriya is with guru kripa. This insight is next level! Nothing changes the state.
Earlier i was only into anahata naada, kriya has changed my state completely. Simply amazing. This is next level.
Once the higher two chakras are in focus, they in turn balance the other 5 chakras.
Once it is clear the everything is a dream within a dream, the state remains unchanged! This is the key to be aware of this fact at all times. Kriya state enables this.
Additional steps in kriya yoga by intuition.
The norm of to give kriya yoga deeksha of higher steps after a few years of regular practice. This is to ensure that the disciple is ready to implement advanced kriya yoga steps within. This means that the energy system is ready.
By intuition, with inner calling, higher kriyas may get revelaed to you. Example applying bandhas in kumbhak state of kriya pranayama etc., linking the letters of the divine purusha to the beeja mantras. Beeja mantras in the chakras etc.. All this takes own time. There are no ready made answers, nor a timeline, as it's purely by intuition. It will come to you to then it has to. A few glimpses have come. But more practise is needed.
Attended a new year of party some time back:
As i attended a new year party...This poem got created.
Fly fly fly, fly high.
In the open cosmic sky.
Taking your prana in higher realms.
from dasham dwara to cosmic dreams.
To merge the self.
With consciousness itself.
You can be free, want to know how?
With regular kriya yoga pratice here and now!
Kriya is the state of merging the doing and being.
Just like dissolution of acting with observing.
In a club or office or at home.
The state in "k.r.i y.a." remains the same.
All possible by enternal gurukripa.
Gurukripa hi kevalam, kevalam Hi gurukripa.
Wishing all kriyavans a happy new year which comes once a while.
Happy kriya state moments, which are eternal, in the present all the while!
108 🙏🏻 to all the masters, gurus and yogacharyas.
3 states of kriya yoga
Kriya yoga is the dissolution of doing (kri) and and being (ya):
We all start by seeking (doing to have) love and peace. Here the actor, (me taking action to have), the act of doing and the object of having are different. Kri and ya are separate here. This is the start for everyone.
In the process of kriya practise, we experience having love of God and peace within. The doing goes, as the state is attained, but the actor/me and object remain. It's still me with love and peace. Kri and ya are together now. We are all here at different stages as kriyavans.
Ultimately, with more practise, we become peace and joy itself. There is no me now. It's only a state of being. The doing is dissolved in being now. The kri and ya merge. This is the state of gurus and masters. Being with them, following them, learning from them is the key.
It is practice that is the key to transformation. So in the new year, make a resolve to pracitse regularly to progress from kri/ya to kri+ya to kriya!
The universe is an illusion:

I was chatting with kalpana from pune. And she shared this image from Sai Babas writings. This is simply fantastic. Exactly what i am contemplating on in current times. And i see this message!
We are in a "dream" (unreal) state (known as waking, dreaming & deep sleep as given in madukya upanishad) , in the dream of the Trinity - Brahma Vishnu mahesh (created by the creator to form, sustain and dissolve) the universe. This is shown by the Trinity in meditation or sleep position.
As soon as we realize this, the dream and the dream within the dream vanishes. This is self realisation!
What remains is the pure soul and no experience. We then create the experience without being bound to karma, mind, past, present etc. that is mukti or moksha. So the soul and its experience are no different! It's all adwaita.
Integration in daily practise:
Shambhavi mudra can be done anytime of the day. In fact other than mahamudra, everything can be done multiple times a day. In office, in car. Waiting for meetings. This is integration of kriya yoga in day to day life. It is no longer only about the morning practise.
The state:
Maintaining the state of k.r.i y.a is the key. With awareness, it is possible to be in the state, slowly increasing the duration of each mini state. The impact on this awareness is tremendous.
Cosmic astrology:
According to cosmic astrology, all planets, stars etc are in the spine. All months are also in the spine. So one cycle of kriya breathing is like one year of evolution. It takes 6 minutes usually. 30 sec per cycle x 12 cycles = 6 mins. Maximum cycles are 12. This also ensures you are not troubled by any astrological issues at all.
Setting a business goal:
I know that my life is only for serving everyone in every role i do. As i dwelled on this thought, i got the
Intuition to offer total turnkey solutions for buildings to add tremendous value to the world. There are not many honest contractors in the construction industry. The industry is largely full of people, with corner cutting and profit maximization as the motive, at the cost of quality and speed, giving sleepless nights to clients.
So 100 cr business is easily feasible now. This is a 20x growth in 5 years. This needs tremendous energy and blessings, a perfect setting in the kumbh retreat. I am not attached to the goal. I am yet fully involved in the mission to add value to others, via my work.
Prayer at end of kriya:
Ask for anything at the end of kriya yoga process via a prayer. Tell the divine force to heal the body part, touching it and healing happens without the medicine, only as a medium. I touch all my chakras, starting from anahata with both palms and then move right hand upwards to the chakras, while the left hand moves downwards. So in 3 steps, the 6 chakras are covered for healing by both hands. As the gurus and ishtadevtas energy is within you now, and there is nothing external, the response is immediate.
I shared this with a dear friend, a kriyavan recently.
"After kriya, hold one of your feet with left hand and put your right hand on the head on the top.
Left hand is your hand holding gurus feet and right hand is gurus hand on your head. Believe that you are at gurus feet and he is blessing you
This came to me after today's meditation.
This will solve your challenges. Have blind trust and do this."
Pasaydan the universal prayer:
After i finish the kriya, I chant the pasaydan, a universal prayer with focus on chakras, which beautifully completes the kriya for me, as i connect with dyneshwar mauli.
Tears in my eyes:
As i feel the presence of gurus within as i hold my toes, and i recite pasaydan, tears of joy roll down my eyes. This happens most of the times. The boy, dyana who was hit by stones, composed pasaydan, which asks nothing for the self, which is already enlightened, but asks for the well-being of every living and non living being..and becomes dyneshwar (the king of the dyanies. Literally) This is beyond comprehension!
Awareness of dreaming:
Usually one falls asleep and starts dreaming. Now, i can sense the change of state of the mind and i can observe the dreams as the happen. Sometimes, i am able to change the sequence of the dream, by my thoughts. This, when done in waking up state, becomes manifestation!
Blessing:
May the universal consciousness bless you with awareness of doing, abundance of being and acceptance of having
